The second book in the Resistant Omega series, the story of Carson delves into the abuse of omega werewolves at the hands of their powerful pack alphas and their allies. While I find the biggest strength of the series to be the steam generated among a group of four heated, protective and connected werewolves, this novella also includes an exploration of the characters' attempts to build a little trust and emotional connection in the middle of recovering from abuse and on top of their physical lust.

These short works can be tremendously fun reads for those interested in werewolf menage (a quatre) heat and/or those who enjoy a good "protagonist in distress rescued by knights in shining armor" (or, in this case, an abused omega saved by extremely buff men in werewolf fur). The development of deeper relationships is sometimes too quick, the "misunderstanding" conflicts among lovers can be forced or formulaic, and the dialog often leaves much to be desired. But for those who love a steamy romp with an oppressed hero being saved, elevated, and loved by strong mates, it's a nicely steamy and entertaining story.
I loved Carson's story. His inner circle was wonderful and I loved the way they always put Carson first. This is my favorite of the series.
I still reread this one the most, well, it's a tie with Tristan's story. Such a great group and I love how they all learn!
If you just want to read steamy sex scenes, these books are for you. The story didn't change much from the first. I even bought a couple more in the series with hopes it would get better. It doesn't. Considering the books are cookie cutter stories, they are definitely over priced!
This was just as great the second time around too I can't wait to read the next one in this series again....
I really like how they are small package but with lots of surprises. I want these stories to become a new movie or videos with for series. It should be at least in our sex shop when picking up a new lubricant. Lets turn these porn into quality porn or more. Hehe yeeehaaaww
The concept of the Omega being low man on the totem pole is not new but the concept of taking over a pack to rescue the Omega is something I have not read before. Getting Carson to trust of course was hard but it was great to see the relationship develop between all the mates. I especially loved seeing the Alpha so torn up! Great stuff.
